Data Parbat needs
Most of what Parbat needs comes from Shopify automatically. Two things depend on you.
Read from Shopify
Section titled “Read from Shopify”Products and variants, prices and price history, orders and refunds, customers, inventory, and storefront traffic, checkouts and conversion. Parbat keeps its copy current as your catalog and orders change. For the full list, see Shopify permissions.
Cost per item
Section titled “Cost per item”Parbat reads each product’s Cost per item from Shopify. It can’t recommend a price for a product without a cost, because it can’t tell whether the price protects your margin. Those products show messages such as “Add cost to unlock pricing”.
To fix it, add the cost in Shopify: Products, open the product, then fill in Cost per item for each variant. Parbat picks it up on the next sync.
Shipping and payment costs
Section titled “Shipping and payment costs”Go to Settings, Pricing, Shipping and payment costs. You can set:
- shipping cost per order, with separate domestic and international amounts if you like
- payment fee (%)
- fixed fee per order
Parbat suggests values from your store’s own orders. Until all three are set, profit figures don’t subtract shipping or payment fees. Store and measured profit is sales less discounts, refunds and cost per item. A move’s projected impact is based on price less cost per item, and doesn’t change when you set these costs.
Guardrails
Section titled “Guardrails”Your margin floor, MAP agreements and any products to leave alone. See Guardrails.
When there isn’t enough data
Section titled “When there isn’t enough data”Some products don’t sell often enough for the data to say much. Parbat tells you when that’s the case rather than guessing, and Pricing Readiness in Pricing Basecamp shows what’s missing.
