Measuring results

Every move you ship is measured against what Parbat projected when you shipped it.

Parbat measures a move for up to 30 days after the price change. It can close earlier, from day 14, once both the before and after periods have enough sales to compare.

While a move is measuring, its drawer says “Price is live.” and you can still roll it back at any time.

When the window closes, the drawer shows the measured change in gross profit next to the projection made when you shipped, scaled to the days measured. Measured results show cents; projections are rounded to whole dollars.

Sometimes there’s no clean read. That happens if, within 14 days of the change, the price was rolled back, changed outside Parbat or changed by another Parbat move, or the product sold out. It also happens if there were too few orders to say anything. For a move that’s still live, the drawer tells you which. If a rollback, an outside price change or a stockout comes later, Parbat keeps the result up to the last full week before it.

The Pricing Value card in Pricing Basecamp shows the value that’s ready to ship, what’s blocked, and what has already been realized from moves you shipped.

The point of measuring isn’t to claim every forecast was right. It’s to make smaller, measured decisions and show you how each one turned out.
